Caption: Oktoberfest tradition : A woman wearing traditional Bavarian clothes drinks a beer at the “Theresienwiese” of the Oktoberfest beer festival in Munich, southern Germany. It’s a tradition here to post a picture of a “woman wearing traditional Bavarian clothes” every time Oktoberfest rolls around. And by “traditional Bavarian clothes,” I mean hot blond with big knockers holding mugs of beer. But I take issue with the fact that the one and only image I could find on Yahoo was this one … which didn’t even do the woman the courtesy of actually showing her face. I think it’s sexist and disrespectful and for about .43 seconds, had me debating whether I should run this photo. |
