More zero-tolerance nonsense:
Austin Perkins, 17, thought he was going one step above what was required of him.
The Golden Gate High School senior wore a jacket and tie to school Wednesday and the act sent him to in-school suspension.
His violation? He wasn’t following the dress code.
It sounds silly, but the principal made it clear this guy is one of a group of kids who were really asking for it … by questioning why it was necessary.
Who would have thought? A teenager who came up with a way to break the rules in such a way as to make authority figures look silly. That’s never happened before. Even when authority figures are being silly and trying to enforce silly rules.

I remember reading about this. Stupid, stupid administration. This is what happens when they put policy before principle.
