Seriously folks. Had the current bunch of Democrats been in office during the darkest days of WWII, they would have been screaming about how Hitler might be evil, but he had nothing do do with Pearl Harbor ….
And yes, I DO eqate the Islamofascists with Nazi Germany, since they pretty much follow the same policy regarding Jews.

Uhhh, Bill … Germany, Italy and Imperial Japan signed the Tripartite Treaty on September 27, 1940 establishing a formal alliance between the countries. There was absolutely no connection between Iraq and the 9/11 terrorists – zero, zip, none, nada, nil. And .. umm .. Germany declared war on us first. We said “same to you!” on the exact same day (December 11, 1941) … but they did it first. Japan & Germany also had the strongest militaries in the world at the time. That’s hardly the same as a bunch of guys with box cutters and homemade bombs strapped to themselves. WWII was symmetric warfare – infantry formations, planes, tanks, ships and artillery vs. the same on the other side. This is asymmetric warfare. VERY different. Not really a good analogy.
I will agree with you on the level of hatred vs. Jews … actually, the radical Islamists probably hate them more than the Nazi’s did.
I can see why you are to embarrased to post this.
As the previous poster said, Germany was a world power with a huge standing army (second only to the USSR, I believe) and had already invaded many nations.
Iraq was too weak to even beat weakling Iran.
And, as the previous poster staid, there was a formal axis set in place. On the other hand, Iraq and Al-Qeda hated each other; Sadaam was a bloodthirsty but secular dictator.
